The experienced French defender rescinded his contract with the Andalusian giants after six and a half years to link up with Turkish giants, Besiktas.
Sevilla lost another player from their ranks with whom they enjoyed magnanimous success. The latest departure is of Julien Escude, who won as many as six titles while in the ranks of Los Nervionenses.
Escude won two UEFA Cups (the predecessor of UEFA Europa League), two Copa del Reys, European Super Cup and Spanish Super Cup during his six and a half years association with Sevilla.
The experienced campaigner was understandably emotional in his farewell from the Seville based entity, thanking everyone associated with the sporting unit. He stated that the colours of the club will always remain special for him.
Continuing on the subject, Escude stated that he will forever remember the city and the magical places it beholds. The departing defender did not lose anyone and any detail in his farewell speech, to show his solidarity with the people in the stands.

On his departure from Andalusia, Escude shared that he will have sporting memories engraved in his soul following his experiences with Sevilla. He remarked that his goal against Schalke in the semi-final of their first UEFA Cup triumph was a high point in
his career.
Escude heaped praise on Andres Palop and Frederic Kanoute, the two players he shared great friendship with. The central defender stated that even though his time at the Pizjuan has come to an end, he would like to remain on good terms with the club and his
teammates.
