Question:

Emotions on Puregon, Ovulation Induction. I think I am moodier and....?

I suffer from PCOS and have been TTC for years. I have always struggled with my moods, but since I have been on meds to assist us with concieving I think they have got worse.

Does anyone know if this could be the reason for my unpredictable moods. Like I have been happy one minute then the next crying because well, ummmm, im not sure.... Then the next snappy, then fine.

I am trying to keep them in check, but the other half is struggling.

Is it the meds? Is there anything (like herbal) that I can do to assist?

Thank you in advance to all those who take me seriously and offer assistance or advice.

  1. Hey!

I'm sorry the med's have affected you so much!  I have been in the same boat.

I also have PCOS and have been on clomid in the past.  This affected me emotionally so when I used Puregon injections, for the first time this month, I was pretty much expecting the same thing.  So before I started on them I sat down with my husband and explained how the med's affected me.  I told him sometime's I might get upset with him for something silly and that he should understand and not take me seriously.  I told him if we were to have a baby it was something he had to understand and put up with until we reach our goal.  After this, when I did become emotional, he was great.  My moaning didn't become an argument.  Maybe if you explained to your partner he may understand more?

I'm not sure about anything herbal helping, just try to relax.  It helps by remembering what's causing you to feel down, it always calms me down... And when you feel like you need to have a cry do! it does no harm and passes as soon as it started.

    Good luck with TTC! xOx
