My dad made three Emperor clocks 35 years ago.  My daughter has now one in her home.  I don't know how they are lifting the weights to set the clock, but the chime on the quarter, etc. is not working.  It is as if it is in the slilent mode, but that is not the desire.  I can't get it to click into a chime song.

It might be at silent mode

Maybe the weigh of it is not heavy enough to run the chime or it has weigh for the chime but the chime had no oil.
