Question:

Employee Rights after 1 week?

I started a new job last week and have since decided that it is not for me. A friend has informed that as I have been there for less than 2 weeks I do not have to work a notice period. Is this true? And if so do I still have the right to be paid for the work that I have done? UK answers only please.

  1. You will always have to be paid for work that you have done, and you never legally have to formally hand in your notice.
