if i own auntie annes pretzels, dippin dots, and cinnabon franchises in a las vegas mall....

i employ about 3-5 workers for each store

while hiring an accountant for each

i dont have to grant any of them health insurance right?

what is workers comp all about?

and for MY health insurance.. is $6,000 a year reasonable for a great health care plan? (for a 25-40 year old single employer?)

and this includes a doctor i can call and visit when i call in sick right?

i'm so confused...

  1. Health insurance doesn't cover dental or orthodontics.

No, you're not required to carry health insurance for your employees.   If you're 40, in perfect health  & safe weight, $6,000 a year should cover you.  Talk to a local agent for a quote.  That agent will explain deductibles.

Yes, you are required to carry workers comp.  What's it about?   It pays medical bills and lost wages for work related injuries.

Have you read any of the franchise documents?  They're going to spell out what's required - including workers comp.

  2. If you are fairly healthy then you may find yourself able to save quite a bit of money by choosing to purchase an individual health insurance plan instead of a group health insurance plan.

Typically and individual health plan will be about half of the cost of a group health plan - even with similar benefits and purchased from the same company.

Here is some more information on individual health insurance as well as a guide to understanding health insurance:
