Emulating to prove his mettle in Betdaq Casino Games Nursery at Kempton
Betdaq Casino Games Nursery has pulled together a star-studded line-up of nine horses at Kempton, this Wednesday. The class-5 meeting will be held over a distance of one mile. It carries a handy prize of £2,264. The officials are due to kick off the proceedings
at 16:15 GMT.
Canadian Run improved significantly on nursery debut, and should be given respect despite a penalty. After showing a commanding performance here last week, the 2-year-old looks in a great position to collect more. The Robert Mills-trained is not facing an
easy opposition though.
According to our calculations, Run It Twice, Mick Duggan and Emulating are the biggest threats. The first-named came up good improvement last week, when securing the second place at Lingfield. It was surely one of his best efforts. The David Evans-trained
certainly deserves respect on his latest act.
Mick Duggan was strong at the finish last week, when finding the third place in a tough contest here. The 2-year-old has a decent track at this venue, as his sole success came here in September. An extra furlong should help Simon Hodgson’s trainee in this
meeting.
Run It Twice and Mick Duggan, both have big roles to play, but our vote goes to Emulating. The juvenile made an encouraging effort on nursery debut last month, when he finished third behind Blue Nova at Lingfield.
In the Betfred Still Treble Odds On Lucky 15's Nursery, he took keen hold early on in the hands of William Twiston-Davies. The 100-30 favourite went very wide, and subsequently lost considerable pace.
Although he stayed on strongly inside the final furlong, it was not possible for him to trouble the leading pair. The son of Duke Of Marmalade, however, did well to share the podium by a neck’s distance.
Apart from the above-mentioned horses, none is likely to play a big role. A drop is trip is not sure to suit Abraq. A few others look stronger. Beau Select was behind Canadian Run last week, and would be under pressure against similar opposition. Lambert
Pen, who made a solid AW run last time, needs a special effort to take advantage of this trip.
