Enabling wi-fi inT-Mobile Blackberry 8120?

Hi,I just bought a T-Mobile Blackberry 8120 which is supposed to be wi-fi enabled and now i am trying to enable it at home thru my home router and its just not happening, even tried calling the support guys and even they were not of much help. Can someone please help me in enabling it step by step..

To set up wireless on the device you go to Options > Wi-Fi Connections. Press the menu key, then select New. I click the Scan for Networks button. Once it finds my network I highlight it, press the menu key, then select Connect. I can then enter the password for the Wi-Fi network if there is one. Then I am connected.

If you are having trouble connecting when there is encryption enabled, try temporarily disabling the encryption and try again. Also, I have seen people have issues with Wireless N routers.
