Enclosed sub or Free air sub?

which is better, a enclosed sub or a free air sub?

and which sub should i get to go with my two Alpine SPR-13C coax and my two Alpine SPR-13S component speakers?

I'm not sure by what you mean by "free air" sub but i hope you mean a vented box? but vented boxes will produce the most loudness. a sealed box will give you the best sound. so if you wont loud. hard hitting bass that hits low go with a ported(vented) box. but if you wont nice sound go with sealed.

i would choose the alpine type r. sounds great with a very nice kick.
