End of August trip to Nassau the bahamas?

I Am Traveling to Nassau bahamas August 22nd-September 1st, I wanted to know if anyone has any idea how the weather is in august. I heard hurrican season is coming a little earlier than usual. Is this going to effect my trip?? Should i expect a ton of rain while I'm there?? Also I'm staying at the at the all inclusive resort RIU. Does anyone have any personal reviews on this hotel?

i went there last yr and it sometimes has short rain showers, but it never goes cold. The evenings are nice and warm 2. make sure you go to the one and only ocean club hotel. Thats were part of casino royal was taken, plus its a beautiful hotel (you could just go 4 lunch/t if u wanted 2)

Ok well first most of the time the weather is really sunny here so i doubt you will have anything to worry about but even some rain wont stop the wonderfull and exciting stuff to do here. The RIU in my opinion is an ok hotel and its really nice. Enjoy your trip to the Bahamas.

Hurricane season is from June to November. It is very unpredictable.. August can be a very busy month for Hurricanes. Also is rainy season here so expect some hot mornings and very wet afternoons. If a storm is coming this way before you arrive I would cancel my travel plans. Flooding, surges, etc etc.. no power no water..it can happen.

The RIU is on Paradise Island.. I personally have not stayed there but I have heard is nice.
