Question:

End of the World problem?

I personally think that scientists and authors are actually just trying to make us go through a CRAZE.

But yeah.

But. I'm a soon-to-be 6th grader and want to have a long happy successful life. So I was wondering.

I kinda youtubed and searched this but I still wanna see what YOU guys think.

People say that a PLANET or STAR more hot and more powerful than the sun will come past Earth and BURN us. Or something like that.

Is the ATMOSPHERIC layers going to protect us??

What do you guys think?

I really don't like thinking about this but. I just wanna know the TRUTH and CALM DOWN.

  1. There are NOT any scientist making end of Earth predictions.  Fact is the only people making such predictions are clueless.  All and every end of Earth predictions has NEVER happened.

  2. Why worry?

    How will that help.

Space debris enters our atmosphere daily.  They call them "shooting stars", but you know they're not stars really, it's just rocks flying around in space that light up and burn because of the friction with our atmosphere.

There have been a few big hits on the earth.  One is in Arizona, another was in Siberia.  It's possible the gulf of Mexico was formed by an asteroid hit, but nobody is really sure.

Just don't buy the global warming stuff.  It's a big scam by government to get more power into the hands of the people who have too much already.  And they only want power to take more money.

The truth is there is stuff out in space, and it could hit the planet, but let's deal with it if and when it happens.  Not before.   Nothing much has happened for about 1,400 years, so the odds are in our favor.

Like the guy said who forgot his parachute . . .

    so far so good.

  3. No scientists are saying this.  The only people claiming there's an invisible planet out there that's going to kill us are conspiracy nuts and 6th graders.  There are no planets or stars out there that are coming anywhere near us.  They can't - they're in their own orbits around the galaxy, they don't break off for no reason and head off to destroy some other planet.

There's nothing out there.  If there were anything close enough to do that damage, it would be easily visible - and we're watching the sky all the time.  There's nothing there.

  4. Ah, kid don't worry.  That could happen, but not in your lifetime.  If there were a planet or star careening towards us, we'd probably know about it by now.  Stars are big, and bright, and slow, and far apart.  It's not impossible for two stars to cross paths, but it's really unlikely outside of a star cluster.

The world can't end just like that, it's not going to for a very looooong time, so don't sweat it.  No self respecting scientist will tell you the planet isn't going to be here tomorrow due to some astronomical phenomenah.
