  1. everyone says the world is gonna end year after year so dont listen to them

  2. it is from the Mayan calendar. it is believed that they prophesied the end of the world on 12/12/2012

  3. It was the day the Myan calender ended, which alot of people think that they are predicting the end of the world 12-21 yada yada yada.

But in my opinion if they could tell the future then they would have been able to predict that on Dec. 21 they were going to get wiped off the face of the earth!

I wonder if anybody has a picture of the scratch marks left behind on the calender after they got dragged away?

  4. I take it English is not your first language...it's:

    all over, not allover

    the place, not da place

    interpretation, not interpritation

    Bible, not bible

    astronomers, not astronamers.

To answer your question, the idea came from the Mayan calender, but don't worry, Jehovah's Witnesses have been setting dates for Armageddon since the 1870s, have always been wrong then change the date. One day they'll be right but we won't be around then.Tony is right...I wonder who gave him a thumb-down....a Mayan, perhaps.

  5. It is not an interpitation of the bible. It is believed that 2012 is the end of the Mayan callendar.   Now why people are up in arms and worrying I don't know because we use the Julian callendar ( created around the time of Julius Ceasar).  So dont worry about the End of the world.

  6. It is the actual date the Mayan 5000 year calender resets. It is also the exact time when the earth, sun and center of the milky way align. According to Mayan legend, a new beginning. This occurs every 26000 years. 12/21/2012 is the date all these things coincide.

  7. *smacks head against brick wall* Right, for the last time.....

the date for the end of the sixth(or fifth, can't remember just now) world is set by the Mayan calendar for December 2012. This date has been calculated using the long count calendar, covering up until the end of the 13th ba'k'tun or Great Cycle. The world will not end. All that will happen is some bloody big storms, some nasty earthquakes and all the usual suspects when it comes to natural disasters. these will not happen on one day, these event will occur leading up to this date. on that date, we just go back to the beginning ot the calendar and crry on as normal. Fin.

  8. Urban legend.

It's the date that the 5th solar cycle ends in the Mayan calendar.

Some wizard didn't realize the most likely occurrence would be that the 6th solar cycle would begin the next day.

  9. It came from a Myan calender. I saw it in some special in DISCOVERY CHANNEL. It was said that everytime it was that certain year that someting bad would happen. In this case 2012. There is some proof. Archeologist found a diary of a asian man that stated that there were tsuanmis and many earthquakes in other places and somewhere in asia.

  10. look ppls say the world is going to end at any time i

believe that it will be the ppls of this earth who decide

our own fate. but only god knows(if u believe in him, if u don't oh well i'm just saying thats my belief and no offense to any1 else's beliefs). so don't worry about it.

  11. end of the world in 2012 where did that date come from its popping up allover the place?

It's some stupid c**p  that comes from Mayan culture a culture that's been dead for 500 years that talks about the end of the world that will happen Dec 23 2012 I believe.

  12. People always say the world is going to end, first it was 1988 then it was 2000, but guess what we're still here, don't worry the world won't end ANY time soon.

  13. GMTV?

They don't half talk some b0ll0cks on that show, lmao.

But I agree with the Mayan related answers. 21/12/2012 (or 12/21/2012 if you want it in USA).

I'm not buying Christmas pressies that year....just in case ;o)

  14. I think it has to do with the MAYAN culture---but they existed then disappeared,,,would YOU trust them?

  15. I believe it might have something to do with the Aztec calendar. the Aztecs were a pretty advanced civilization found in the Americas. Their calendar is amazing but for some reason it ends in 2012. hope this helps!

  16. no exact date for the end of the world! as long people acknowledge GOD and have fear on HIM,existence of this world will be extended!

  17. I saw on the discovery channel that all the religions prophasies of the future end on that date. The meyan calender stops on that date I no.I think itl be like the big 2000 scare
