  1. Mr. Greek alphabet has definitely answered in a way that demonstrates how all of us A&S regulars feel: If we got paid every time we answered that very question, we'd all be retired by now, and living in Aruba or something.

Besides, even if it WERE going to happen, the only thing you could do would be to make the most of your time until then, which is in fact, no different than your situation now. "Tomorrow is promised to no one."

Live life to the fullest every day.

... and yes, it's all just a big scare-fest by the sensationalists / prophets of doom who have been 100% wrong about each and every end-of-the-world prediction to date. When I was a kid, the alignment of the planets was supposed to rip us up with the combined gravity of the planets. They called this the Jupiter Effect - and of course, that never happened either.

  2. Well why would you want to get your mind off of it, there is a misuderstanding on the whole theory which makes most people that hear about it think its total nonsense, and that is that its "the end of the world"...NO, its not the end of the world. the world will go on for billions of years, what we as humans should be aware of and afraid of is the likelihood of major catastrophe that might literally kill BILLIONS of people, and change the planet in every way. I believe it, Ive been looking into it for about 1 year now, but Im not going to get into why I believe it, its just too much info to explain and even if I did, this is something you have to research yourself and convince yourself of what you want to believe. YOU CAN survive this, its not the end of the world, but expect the entire way we live as a whole global civilization to change, its up to you now to decide whether you will lern more and have the possibility to survive, or whether you will die with those you love, with billions of other people. 3. Almost no one believes this.

Ever since the 6/6/6 (June 6, 2006) End of the World scenario did not pan out, the scare mongers have been touting the 2012 End of the World scenario. When 2012 does not happen either, I am sure they will think of something else.

"But of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be watchful! Be alert! You do not know when the time will come." (Mark 13:32-33)

Jesus told us in no uncertain terms that we were not to know when the end of the world would come but that we were always to be ready.

The early Christian Church thought that Jesus was going to return at any moment. Only after a couple of centuries did the Church realize that it may be 2,000 or 4,000 or 8,000 years before Jesus returns.

The Catholic Church wisely follows Jesus' advice and teaches that each of us should live as if we will meet our maker in the next ten minutes and that we need to work to make the world a better place for our 100 X great-grandchildren.

Do not worry about the end of the world. Trust God to make sure everthing happens to plan. Just be ready to meet God at any time.

    With love in Christ.

  4. The end of the world is supposedly Dec. 21 2012 as predicted by the Mayan Calendar.  The calendar ends on that day.  Many believe where it may not be the end of the world but likely the dawn of a new age.  For example, if someone where to invent time travel on that date, it would cause calendars to no longer be viable.  Of course, some say aliens are going to visit on that day, others say a major catastrophe or the end of the world.  Like other people, I don't put much stock into it.  If something were to happen that day, what is the point in worrying over it?

  5. You can also find this on youtube and whatnot. I personally don't believe it will end because from what I saw, the facts could just be BS. Also I recall a few years ago the world was supposed to end. And don't forget Y2K.

  6. Well then don't bother doing your December, 25, 2012, Christmas shopping then and see where that gets you. In a whole heap a trouble i'll bet then you will be wishing the world ended on December, 21, 2012, but all i can say is wait and see.

  7. Read all the question about it on Yahoo..

  8. The Holy Bible says no man knows the day nor the hour....james the hollow earth man

  9. Even the great predictor name Michelle De Nostradamus can't get the prediction 100% right although he gave 3 diferent date of the end of the world.

That's mean we can change the future of our own depents of how we run our own way of life.

  10. The History Channel has conned you into believing this was a documentary with a scientific basis.  You will notice that none of the so-called "experts" is listed as having a scientific PhD.  Whenever you see that, you are probably watching bunk, and this documentary was one of the most flagrant examples of bunk that I have ever seen.  It is truly appalling, the number and absurdity of errors in that show.  The History Channel people really should be ashamed of themselves.  They wear the commercial "scarlet letter" with pride.

No.  There is no legitimate evidence whatsoever that anything catastrophic is going to happen in 2012.  That goes for all of the two dozen dire predictions that have become popular.  There is also no truth that any ancient calendar or person predicted doom for that date, and even if they did, so what?  They had no clue as to such things.

There is also absolutely no reason to believe there will be a dawning of a new age or "awakening" or any of that other mystical nonsense.  Every day brings the dawn of a new age.

  11. nothing is going to happen and the thing they put on you tube about this is stuppid and people are trying to scare you. I just think these day people are just geting dumb. and in the ancint day there was nobuddy who said there will be globle warming cuz they didnt know what globle warming was

  12. live your life as best u can the future will take care of it self

  13. According to the Bible...Mathew 24:36 "concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son but only the Father.  But the earth itself will not be destroyed... only the system of things as we know it; the government.  For in Ecclesiastes 1:4 A generation is going and a generation is coming; but the earth is standing even to time indefinite.  So the earth will stay but have a new government; as stated when Jesus's disciples asked him this question:  Mathew 24:3 "Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?"  Also in Daniel 2:44 "And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin.  And the Kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people.  It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite."  So in answer to your question... only the Bible holds the key to the truth for you.

  14. I dont no whether to believe it or not, but a long time ago im talkin ancient, a guy predicted that it will end in 2012, he also predicted a worl war 3 around that time, which its likely to happen soon, and he predicted global warming which is occuring, lol i get scared thinkin bout it sometimes.

  15. There is NO science behind it!

Scientists don't expect anything out of the ordinary to happen in the year 2012, or specifically on the date December 21, other than the solstice, which happens every year.

None of the "predicted" happenings for 2012 hold up under close scrutiny. "Planet X" and "Nibiru" simply don't exist. The Mayan calendar ends a cycle, but there were no predictions of the end of the world. The Sun doesn't line up with the galactic centre; it's 6 degrees off. No asteroids or comets are actually predicted to hit Earth.

All of this stuff was put together by crackpots in order to promote their books and TV shows, and shamelessly promoted by the History Channel. Don't take any of it seriously!

  16. Well more people than u would think do believe it. But they believe that the world won't "end" but change in a really big way which would seem like the end. Honestly i think the only way to get your mind off of it is to accept it i mean really accept it. Then u wont need to worry about it any more.   : )

  17. I don't believe that the world will end in 2012. But what truly matters is that there is nothing you can do about it. If I were you, I would be with my friends and enjoy every second of life. Make the most of every day and don't worry about something that is beyond human control.

  18. Didn't I just get through answering the same EXACT question? Yes I did. You get the same answer:

NO! It is is not going to end. There is NO scientific evidence. What channel were you watching it on? Let me guess... the history channel. Right? The history channel is giving you pseudo-science... not science.

No pole shift. The center of the galaxy is way too far away to make a difference in terms of gravity.
