  1. Sharks are godless killing machines.

  2. Yes there are but the drilling company's are taking steps to ensure their safety.

  3. People are Godless killing machines.  Sharks are animals trying to make a living in a world where the top predator (us) persecutes them mercilessly.  As for sharks killing people- the numbers are so infintessimally small it's like throwing bricks into the Grand Canyon....

  4. Yes, there are.

By the way, have you ever eaten shark?

  5. There's 201 endangered shark species. Gulf of Mexico has 15. Bull sharks are one. Thresher is another. What you would need to do is find a shark that appears on both lists.

Edit: oceanic white-tip, blacktip shark, and shortfin mako are three more. And the lemon shark is the last one that appears on both lists that I can see. Total of 6 of the 15 species.

Additional research on the wikipedia and fishbase external link on wikipedia revealed the sand tiger shark also called grey nurse shark (not to be confused with nurse shark, another species entirely), night shark, and dusky shark show a habitat range around the coasts of Florida but not in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico. I hit the link two boxes above but it froze and screwed my computer up so I had to research it on my own. They are also on the endangered species list. This leads me to conclude that website list of sharks is not exhaustive but just a sampling.

  6. I don't understand the question.

    Endangered shark's whats?

  7. Sorry about Hollister Girl, she is a jerk and saving sharks is very important!  I am glad you are interested in saving them!  Good luck!  :)

  8. "Endangered Shark is"?

I think you meant "Endangered Sharks"

Silly Rabbit, apostrophes aren't for plurals!

Oh, and to answer your question, "yes there are":

  9. I think most likely. I don't know.

  10. Sharks KILL people you tree huggers!

  11. If the oceans are now overfished as bad as the greenies say they are, then we sure don't need as many predators like sharks.  Therefore none of them should be "endangered."  We should be killing as many as possible so the other fish (that are so "depleted") can have a chance to recover.  This is a no-brainer.

  12. On July 29 the manager of the aquarium at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas was intereviwed on the local radio station. He says the majority of the sharks in the world are endagered. They are over fishing the sharks right now. Was very interesting

  13. endangered shark's what?

(this is grammatical issue...you are using a possessive noun, rather than plural, so you are saying that something belongs to the shark)

  14. No, there are plenty of them there, that's dangerous!

  15. the oceanic white tip and the  goblin shark are the two that i know of

  16. I found a National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration site about marine life in the Gulf of Mexico.  It lists 3 types of sharks as "species of concern."   They are dusky sharks, night sharks, & sand tiger sharks.

  17. thanks so much for this question. i live in florida so sharks are something i am always curious about. the truth is (i've been doing some research) almost all sharks are in some way endangered. have you been watching shark week on the discovery channel? if you didn't see it you'll have to wait till next year.
