What is the current 2008 international (or national [U.S.])endangered species list.

I know Polar bear didn't get in and American eagle got out

The link above is good, but the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) website is also worth a look-see. I'd use their Red List if you want something quoteable.
