does this mean that a Labour administration will stand by and watch as literally millions of families in Britain are pushed over the brink into fuel poverty, and that already hard pushed pensioners will die in the cold? Are things really that bad?

  1. it is better if government does nothing; otherwise they'd just make it worse

  2. they don't care families are already finding hard they are only interested in lining there own pockets.

  3. yup, thanks to the oil consumers (USA,JAPAN, AUSTRALIA)

that dont realy need to use so much oil, the world is having a shortage of oil (and thanks to the global warming) you, my british friend , can have as much money as you want, but if you don't do something with it you will freeze alive, do something smart, biofuels are still a good option.

  4. When the TORY government allowed the energy companies to be sold off, it was inevitable that we were going to end up paying a lot more as the new owners (unlike when it was in government control) intended/needed to make profits and there is very little the government can do about it now as it would cost billions and billions of pounds to buy them back.

Dont forget to thank Margaret Thatcher, another one of her hair brained ideas which has hit the poor in particular !

  5. 30-40% what a load of rubbish, if its going up that much even if the government scraps all tax on energy it will still cost to much.

no government could do anything to help
