  1. the most efficient way is to buy a heater that can produce with its own heat electricity. not cheap but you can sell the surplus to your electricity company and earn the investment slowly back

  2. Dry your clothes on a clothes line. Keeep your thermostat set at 80 in summer and 65 in winter. Shower every other day.

  3. Depending on your funds and structure of your house....Use CFL's, wrap your water heater, install a more effiecient firnace and/or solar panels, add insulation, use flow restrictors in shower and toilet tank dams, don't run water when brushing your teeth, use full loads in washing clothes and dishes....many more....call your utilities to ask for suggestions...many send these with their bills...also, go to e-billing to not waste paper in mailing...take your name off mailing lists.....so so many ways......go to websites to see if ways to cut energy are available to your needs....
