Energy-efficient house for science project?

Hello :) I'm in 8th grade;;

i have to make a green house for science. like, an energy-efficient house. like with solar pannels and stuff.

one thing on the house HAS to work.

do you know what i can make work? perhaps a lightbulb? but how would i do that without wires?

please help! it's due monday and i haven't started :( and i am usually not a procrastinator, my GPA is 4.0 ~!

the most energy efficient thing is insulation and stopping draughts.

so line the walls and ceiling with foam or polystyrene, make double glazing with 2 layers of clear film, and make the door fit well, point that out if you have to, its not obvious, lots of people dont realise how much difference it makes.

as for the 'one working thing', that's a hard one, no wonder you didnt start yet! insulation works by holding in the heat that comes in, maybe just put the window to the south of the room,  say, 'stick your hand in, it's warmer inside, see, the insulation is working' lol!

oh, yea, bambozle them with science. it's called 'passive solar' and is a whole architectural movement. google that, or 'earth ship'.

I'm in year 9 (I'm English and I don't know how American education system works...)

I really hate science, but....me and someone else in my class used a potato to power a clock.....any help?
