  1. They contain mercury which is a toxic heavy metal.  By throwing these bulbs out, the mercury will leach into streams where it will be consumed by fish.

In time humans will no longer be able to consume fish.  Only beef will be safe for consumption.

  2. ya

  3. the fluoresenct are really good for the enviroment for that they use less energy than most lightbulbs and they last longer

  4. THE CURLY ONE THAT THEY'VE BEEN ADVERTISING IS FLOURESCENT FROM WHAT I'VE READ AND FLOURESCENT IS BAD FOR YOUR EYES. EVEN IF THE POLITICIANS VOTE FOR EVERYONE TO USE THEM, I WONT. I FIGURE WHEN A POLITICIAN WANTS SOMETHING HE HAS STOCK IN IT.

  5. Yes the compact flourescent lightbulb can save you at least $50 a year in energy saving... meaning it DOES use less energy, also they last a lot longer than incandescent bulbs, up to 9 years for one bulb!

  6. For those people who are anti flourescent bulbs I would suggest LED bulbs.  They are a bit more expensive but they use 1/10th of the energy of a flourescent.
