Enery to take down the competition in the Discovery Foods Stakes (Handicap)
Majority of the entries gathered for the Class 2 Discovery Foods Stakes (Handicap) have remained deprived of success since quite a while. Breaking this monotony is the 5 to 1 entry for the race, Enery, who is emerging out of a hat-trick, but is not habitual of the level competition that he will get exposed to today.
The mile and four furlong race will be staged at Goodwood on Wednesday, 26th September, 2012. The winner will get to take back to the connections the £10,350 prize money.
The three-year-old bay colt won the Happy Retirement Howard Wright Handicap on 28th August, 2012 at Epsom race course over a mile and four furlongs.
Energy started off with chasing leaders in the initial two furlongs, he raced in the second position for over five furlongs out, and notched to the leadership during the final furlong. His determination grew further aggressive when he went under pressure during the concluding stages of the race.

Maintaining the composure had the Mark Johnston trained winning the Betfred Mobile Casino Handicap on 8th September, 2012 at Kempton over a mile and three furlongs.
He got into a keen pursuit of the leaders, remained prominent in the second position with the three final furlongs remaining. The lead turned out to be short lived as just when the final furlong was on the horizon, the Irish bay colt got over ridden, however, just as during the previous race, he took the pressure well, and defeated the favourite entry, Rawaki, into the second position.
Retaining the tuned up form, the three-year-old struck the Ladbrokesgames.com Handicap on 18th September, 2012 at Folkestone over a mile and four furlongs.
It was the third time that Enery was racing with a third different jockey.
He downed races with jockey, Neil Callan, Silvestre De Sousa and Franny Norton.
The possibility of striking beyond hat-trick will be accompanied by jockey, Silvestre De Sousa, and the two will take off from the eleventh stall.
He will need to look out for the untapped potential of Cardinal Walter.
