Enfamil gentlease for reflux baby?

My baby is four month and she is on just regular enfamil lipil. she throw up like 4 times a day. I have just herd that enfamil gentlease is good for reflux baby.is any of your used gentlease for your reflux baby? and why does it help?

My daughter had colic, reflux, gas and fussiness.  We started her on Nestle Good Start, then the paediatrican recommended Enfamil Thickened for reflux which made her extremely constipated. We took her off that and started her on Enfamil Gentlease which has been working amazing ever since. It is great for all of the problems I listed above.

It is my understanding that Gentlease is good for gas.  Emma is on Enfamil AR which is made for babies that have reflux...really though four times a day is not bad.  Emma would throw up dozens of times!

after trying my daughter (who had reflux and took meds for it) on about 5 different kinds of formula, Gentlease is what we used.

Gentlease has 1/4 the lactose as regular formula and the proteins are partially broken down.

it's supposed to be easier to digest.  I tried it for my son but it didn't help.  If your baby seems to be uncomfortable when feeding or spitting/throwing up it may be that she's got reflux.  But just because she spits doesn't mean it's reflux.  The valve to baby's stomach is weak and that's why some comes back up.  But if she's a happy spitter then you don't really need to do anything.  Baby's that spit can and often do this until they are about a year.  As long as she's not uncomfortable then leave her on her regular formula.  My son does have acid reflux and he is constantly uncomfortable.  He's got all the classic symptoms.  We have him on meds for it which helps a bit. good luck.  Check out the link for info on infant reflux.
