Question:

Enfamil with Lower Iron?

Just wondering if anyone else id or has used this rather than regular Enfamil? My daughter is 4 months old and I had her on the Goodstart Omega 3 and 6 formula but her poops were so dark green that I was told it was from to much iron and to switch. That was when she was like a month old.So I am now on the lower iron formula but wondering if I should change back now that she is older because the iron is only 1.48...the others are 2. I am thinking she is not getting enough iron but on the other hand, they do sell the lower iron product so if it wasnt good then I would think it wouldnt be available at every store? I am about to introduce rice cereal so maybe just leave the formula alone seeing as there is iron in the cereal? Please let me know what you think. I have a doc appt booked for a couple weeks, but would still like others opinions and experiences on this seeing as every doctor seems to have a different view on things. Thanks!! :)

  1. JUST BECUASE THEY SELL IT DOES'T MEAN ITS THE BEST THING..ALL BABIES NEED IRON.. I FOUND THIS FOR YOU IT TOUCHES ON YOUR SUBJECT.. HOPE IT HELPS

  2. it's very easy to have her tested for anemia.  the doctor can do it with a simple finger prick.  if she's doing well on the formula, you should at least have her tested to see if she even needs more iron before you switch her to something that she has a history of problems with.
