Engagement Ring Price? ?

Question

How much would a .75 Carat, 18K white gold Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring cost? I'm talking about something that would be considered good to excellent quality according to the 4 C's. It doesn't have to be flawless, but something that constitutes a good quality ring.

This would be something from an independent jeweler, not from a mall or chain based store.

My ring is .90 carats, excellecent if not perfect scores in all the 4 C's, with 4 small side stones, 18K white gold : $5500. He bought mine at Jared's so perhaps you could find it cheaper, elsewhere.

Depends on the ring and the quality of the diamond you are looking for, you are looking at  $2,000 to $4,000.

Checkout http://www.jamesallen.com/search_results... they have better prices than most sites and images of the diamonds so you can actually see the diamond before you order it.

You'll pay more at an independent jeweler as they don't seel as much as your more popular stores, so they  jack the prices up to make more of a profit.  That kind of ring will run you $3,000 to $5,000, depending on the absolute quality of the diamond (it's almost impossible to get a perfectly flawless, colorless diamond).  You could always just call your local jewelers and ask them yourself.

I answered this last night, but you got a little more specific so I will be too:

I designed one at http://bluenile.com/ (they have really god quality and amazing prices) it was just under $6000.

The diamond was colourless (D), ideal cut (a MUST in my opinion) and VVS2 clarity (completely eye-clean).

If you went down to a E, F or G colour you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference and could save like $1000 to $2000

My .76, 18K white gold, diamond solitaire G color, VS1 clarity, very good round cut cost $4,200 when it was all said and done.  It was from a chain (Jared's) though so that may make a difference in price.  It also includes a lifetime warranty if the diamond falls out and free cleaning/re-plating for the lifetime of the ring.

you can build your own ring online at this site. it will at least give you an idea of how much you're looking at.  i checked for excellent quality and it was about $3000.  check it out!  you can choose based on price as well.  good luck!
