Engagement Ring Price?

I'm just curious. How much would a .50-.75 3 stone diamond, 14K white gold engagement ring cost? I'm talking something on the higher quality scale. So, not flawless....but up there with the 4 C's. I'm not exactly sure, how that works. But, something that would consitute a good-excellent quality ring.

  1. My friend has a 1/2 ct three stone, princess cut, 14K yellow gold ring and it cost him $1,500. The quality and clarity is excellent.

  2. try here: http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rin...

You can also design your own 3-stone ring where you choose the diamond sizes, quality etc.

  3. I have a ring that is very high-quality diamonds, with the center stone .60 carats, 18k white gold.  The cost for my ring was a little above $3,000.

I realize my ring is a little different from what you want, but at least you can compare.  I would say you should be prepared to spend at least $2,000, but not much more than $3,000.

    Good luck!

  4. Honestly, I think your best bet is to go to www.bluenile.com and plug in some diamonds. It depends on the shape of the diamonds, too. Princess and other fancy cuts are usually cheaper than round brilliant.

I would search for G or higher, VS2 or higher, and very good or higher cut for the diamonds.

    Good luck.

  5. You can look up exactly what you want (diamond quality and different settings) at http://bluenile.com/

Just go to the diamond search and set your parameters for what you have in mind.  Then you can get a good price range for what you are looking for.

Bluenile has great prices (not like a mall jewelry store) and if you do choose to buy online they are very reputable.

    Good Luck!

Addition: I did a quick search for "near" top-quality diamonds in that size range.  Bluenile.com has them priced from about $1500 to $6000 for the diamond.  Depending on the setting that could add $500 to $1000.

  6. I have a 1.0 ct 3 stone diamond wedding ring with 14K yellow gold and a 14K white gold setting. It was $3,000 which included a lifetime warranty.

1/2 ct 3 stone would be a little cheaper, probably $1,000-$2,000, but from an expensive jewlery store it will be more.

My engagement and wedding bands came from JC Penney Jewelers. An Independant store could be more or less, it just depends on what store. They are all different.

  7. Maybe 5500-6000

  8. For something comparable, I went and built you a ring at bluenile.com.

One of the three stone engagement rings in 18k white gold is $825 without the center diamond. I put in in .75 carat round, Ideal cut, G-color, VVS2-clarity. So that gave the diamond weight a total of 1.04 carats. Total price came out to $4625, and that doesn't include any added fees for sizing, shipping, tax etc.

Hope that helps give you some idea.

  9. umm for a 1/2 ct.?? like  600-1,000 i had a ring form a jewelry store chain that was 3 diamond 1/2 ct t.w , it was part of their brilliance section which meant it was almost flawless..and it was 700ish..the most you should pay is in the high hundreds and VERY low thous.
