Engagement gift ideas for my man???

My bf just proposed to me and I feel like I should do something for him. Should I get him like a ring or something else? I"m pretty confused so any ideas anyone has would be great.

Actually, my fiancee (now my husband) and I exchanged gifts to one another the night before our wedding.  I gave him a small pocket knife with an engraving on it (most sentiment-trinket shops will have these, browse your local mall, and they might very well do the engravings in the store for you within a day or two), he gave me a piece of jewelry.  

Other than that, the only gift I gave him after he proposed was that I was adamant that I was not once a 'bridezilla' during the wedding planning stages, even if his opinions on certain things were... how should I put this eloquently... Stupid.  Man-stupid.  

Try not to be a Bridezilla over the course of your engagement, he'll be both happy, surprised, and grateful.

Don't get him a ring. You can do something nice for him like by him tiks to sporting event he'd enjoy or a concert. Or an autographed item.

Why not get a professional picture done of yourself?  So he can put your picture of you up in his office.  If he doesn't have an office then maybe a picture of you on a coffee mug.

It's not that expensive, but it shows the others that he is taken.

I bought him a titanium watch that matched the titanium wedding ring that he mentioned that he wanted.  It was a really cool watch (super light weight), and all of his friends were pretty impressed.

Unfortunately, it did quit working after about 10 years.  So, I bought him another watch for an anniversary gift.  I liked getting him something that he would use EVERY day.

These are all great ideas!  I personally prefer something thats personalized... then you should cook for him rather than going to a dinner. in that way he knows he will marry the right person who knew household chores. while some think it is kinda old-fashioned for a girl to know some things about kitchen, i think it is a mega plus points for a girl who is engaged to know the house rules. whether you will be living in your house or his house after marriage it doesn't matter, as long as you know how to do things a wife should really know. i would also recommend you to buy a necklace with a pendant that something that would consider him yours. like a half heart for you and the other half to him or something like that. anyways, congratulations in your engagement and best wishes.

I would get him a ring one that is similar to yours...When my hunny proposed to me I decided to get him a ring too so that way people also know that he is taken....Mine is gold so I got him a gold ring just make them similar by the color.....if yours is white gold then get him white gold and ect.....hope my idea helps
