I'm in the process of planning my engagement party and was just wondering if anybody has any fun game ideas. Possibly games to get to know other people or anything like that.

  1. On the tables, put fun facts about the newly engaged couple!!! People will start talking about it!!! =)

  2. how about u get all guests who came as couples. separate the women from the men. give each a paper. ask them a question (i.e. what's ur bf's favorite colour?) and have them write their answer on the paper. after everyone has answered the question, reveal their answers. points go to the couple whose answers match.

    sample questions:

what's ur gf/wife's favorite tv show?

    what's ur bf/husband's mother's middlename?

how many nieces/nephews does ur gf/wife has?

    who's ur gf/wife's best friend?

  3. I didnt know you played games at an engagement party, but I guess you could do like a trivia questionaire about the couple and see who gets the most questions right

  4. Twister! It is a good icebreaker and loosens everyone up for a good time.Unless of course it is  a formal type party. then there are no games or fun.

  5. Cattle Kid!

If your having kids there, set up an obstacle course. You blind fold the kids and you have to guide them through the course by using only whistles. 2 for left, 3 for right, 1 for stop. It is hilarious!!

Kids are kept busy, they get to have fun at their own expense and maybe  win a prize. The adults can still mingle and drink without the kids hassling them.

It is a real laugh :-)

  6. Here is one:

The future bride and groom take off their shoes and trade one shoe...so both are holding a future bride shoe and a future groom shoe.  Then the couple are placed back to back and are asked questions by the emcee such as...Who is most likely to...clean the bathroom, handle the finances, wash the dishes, splurge on a large purchase without telling the spouse...etc...you can think of some really funny questions. Anyway, if the future bride/groom thinks its the future bride...they raise the future bride's shoe above their head...if he/she thinks it is the future groom...they raise the future groom's shoe. It's funny to see which questions they agree on and which they don't ;)

    Hope this helps :0)

  7. Umm, no ideas except don't play games.  Most adults hate forced party games.  You're often made to feel uncomfortable if you don't want to play them and most people wouldn't expect this at an engagement party.  A baby shower yes, but not an engagement party.  Just put on good finger food, good music and plenty of drinks and people will mingle naturally.
