I am looking for a nice yet inexpensive restraunt to host my engagment party. It is about 40 people and my budget is no more than 15.00 per person. I cannot have it at my parents house, they are in the middle of moving...his parents are not equiped to handle that many guest and we have not moved in toogether yet...so it has to be at a restraunt.

  1. Angleo and vinci's in Fullerton have rooms that hold banquets... Its an italian restaurant and they have packages that start at about $8 a person...

  2. Type buffet into the following link and the cities you want......you will get customer reviews.....sometimes websites with menus and prices too.  If it is at a buffet......they will usually reserve a section for you if you make advance reservations......Figure on leaving a tip too.  Buffets are usually cheaper then restaurants..........as it is everything a diner could want!!!!!!  Only beverages are brought and sometimes you can arrange to have pitchers of tea, coffee, and water left at the table.

    www.kudzu.com

I live in San Diego County and use it for all over the country when I travel to find places.

If it is close friends and relatives for your party......make up a list and have each one sign up to bring a dish.......you could supply the non food items, beverages and rolls and reserve a place by the park..........there are some over their by Long Beach......we use to have our boat in a private marina there....and we would see in the parks over there by the Queen Mary, etc.  Or then just go to a buffet if you don't want the added stress of setting up and cleaning up!!!!!!

  3. you can try the coco palm its off the 10/57 frwy in pomona,i think - its on a hill and real pretty - i dont know the prices but i think the scenery is nice - also my brother had his at El cholo in Pasadena - it was good

  4. For low cost, you might go with Mexican.  The one I like is El Cholo in Mid-town LA, La Habra and Pasadena.  I also thought about Knotts Berry Farms Chicken Dinner Restaurant (they have more than just chicken now).

  5. Why not ask your friends if you can use their home or property for this?

  6. Hi, Sweetheart, and Congratulations!

(No, I don't know you, I just love the idea of Love fulfilled).

Why does it have to be at anyone's house, or anyplace formal?

Do you know what would be fun, AND save you money?

    Have it at a park!

    It's Summer.

    The weather's beautiful.

    The flowers are in bloom.

And, to really come in under budget, and make it more inclusive you could either do a cook-out, or ask everyone to bring a dish! Of course, you can always buy food to take out there, too -Sam's Club has rotisserie chickens, and it being summer, salads are easy to do ala carte (provide the ingredients,a dn let them fix their own!)

Remember, as with your wedding, this day is all about you and your beloved. So, don't stress on the details, and don't sweat the small stuff.

People are coming to see, and show support for the two of you, not to be wowed by the arrangements you've made.

Simple is better, and uncomplicated means that you get to spend more time doing what really matters ...enjoying your guests.

    Good luck.
