Engine conversion on atc 70

does a ct 70 engine with kick start fit an atc 70 frame

yes it will fit fine. if you use the pull rope from the ATC on the ct engine you could run into problems. if your ATC is a 4 speed model you will have to make a spacer to make every thing work. if you have a 3 speed then it should bolt right up. the other issue you may run into is the carb. if you use the ATC carb you will be fine. if you use the ct carb you will have a manifold issue if your ATC is a 1973 or a 1974 the carb will not be an issue. i have 17 ATC 70's. at one time i had 24 of them. i also at one time had one of every year made. i have done what you are doing and i used the kick starter. i bent it and put it on the shaft so that it was pointing forward and would use my hand to pull it up to start it. if you have to pull it very many times it will wear you out. it was somewhat in the way of the foot peg. good luck and have fun.
