Engine exhaust mounting?

I have a yamaha it 175 and where the exhaust and the engin comes together its leaking gasses it looks like it is been weared out .Any sugestions

it either has crush washers or a gaskey either way replace it

use a couple of tight fitting rubber o-rings,thats whats suposed to be there from standard....nice oldbikes the IT'S

simple man, go to your dealer or get a kit to make your own and replace the gasket, it should only be a couple of bolts and your done, very simple job

Sounds like the exhaust manifold is leaking.  Most likely the gasket that seats the manifild to the engine block has deteriorated with age and needs replaced.  Go to a yamaha shop and see if they can order you a new one.  If nothing else, maybe you can make a new one or yamaha can advise you on what you can do to fix this.
