Engine number on a 2006 F250 6.0SD

Question

I´m looking for the engine number location for a Super Duty 2006 Ford F250 with the International 6.0 diesel V8... somebody out there know where this number is at?

If I remember, it's on drivers side valve cover.. but it's on one of the valve covers

1. sticker on valve cover is correct.

2. the ficm ( fuel injection control module ) has the build date and ESN# on a sticker.

3. left rear of engine below cyclinder head ( very hard to read with engine in truck ).

of the three if you have the orignal ficm its the best spot to get the info.
