Engine question for an 86 Mustang 5.0....Please help!?

I have an 86 Mustang 5.0 and the motor sometimes hunts for an idle. I have changed the throttle position sensor and it didn't help. Any more ideas would be greatly appreciated....

try the idle air control (IAC)

Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes. This will reset the computer settings. Start and drive like normal.

Take the IAC apart,clean and oil it. It's sticky.

This was a very common concern - try cleaning the throttle body first and check whats called the "hard stop idle setting" - this is done with the idle air control disconnected. This should solve your concern.
