Engineering career forecast?

Question

Im still in high school, but someday i would like to become an engineer.

i kind of want to own my own engineering company but im not sure

So I would like to know:

what education do i need to start a career in engineering?

whats the forcast for job avialibility?

what are the main skills and atributs needed?

what is the average pay scale?

how hard would it be to start a new company?

im not sure what field i want to get into either, but i do know:

I want to travel

I want to help others

I want to be completely interested in what I’m doing

I want to have a good amout of time off to be with my family

any ideas for fields??

You should be a secret engineer flight attendant! Because no one will no you are an engineer and the planes will mysteriously get fixed before maintenance gets there!!!! YAHAHHAHAAHA I LOVE YOU!!!=D
