Engineering graphics class project?!?!?!?

Question

I need help, I am using AutoCAD and i have to do a project for my graphics design class. I need to design something that is a household object that could be made better. I need to show a working drawing and how it works including showing all of the parts so it can't be something electronic because i am not going to school for electrical engineering therefore it's too complicated for me. if anyone can help me think of something i could get started. Thanks!
