Question:

Engineering with Law?

Hi I'm an Electrical Engineer currently working in the defense and aerospace industry (and also had experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing industry). Also next year (2009) I finish a Master in Science in Engineering Management, and I was thinking in study law after that.

So I was looking for suggestion or opinions of this idea (do the JD after my MS) and what fields I can work with this backgrounds.

Thanks!

  1. Usually Engineering + law = patent lawyer, but I suppose you could always try out something else!

  2. I have BS in mechanical and master's in Construction Management and currently work for US Gov't in construction projects.  Looking at JD, and a friend who recruits for law firms recommended contract law.
