England's tour to India - Broad’s selection for Kolkata Test doubtful – Cricket News Update
The England bowling coach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SCJ-Broad-c2465 is not performing up to par and might struggle to keep his place in the side for the 3rd Test against India, scheduled for next week in Kolkata.
The English Pacer, Broad, has been wicket-less in a so far entertainment packed series against India. Reportedly struggling with fever during the second Test at Mumbai, the young pacer was only required to bowl 12 overs in the first innings of the game before
Monty Panesar and Graeme Swann destroyed the opposition.
Saker believes the young fast bowler is finding it difficult to adjust to the conditions in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750.
“He’s finding it tough, no doubt, I don't think he's the first fast bowler to come over here and find it tough. It's another great learning curve for him. Bowling fast over here isn't easy and you have to find a way to survive. The really great bowlers always
have. You don't just say the fast bowlers are going to have no influence - a defeatist attitude like that is not accepted. We've got to have a look at the way bowlers have done it over here and try your best at replicating that,” said Saker.
Admitting to conditions being difficult for the fast bowlers, Saker feels that his illness should not be an excuse for poor a display by Broad. Being impressed with the way http://www.senore.com/Cricket/JM-Anderson-c1705 bowled, the coach felt he was slightly unlucky, and if things had
gone his way, a couple more wickets would not have been a problem.
After an amazing display of spin bowling by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/GP-Swann-c1501, which helped England secure a big win and comeback into the series, they are likely to go to Kolkata with two spinners as well.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ST-Finn-c2566, who is showing good signs of recovery, is most likely to make a return in Kolkata after coming out of a thigh strain. His inclusion may pose a problem for Broad.
