I am a 27 year old high school graduate. I have been told by the University of Manchester and the Metropolitan University of Manchester that I must complete a foundation year before I can attend either universities. Where can I attend a foundation year geared towards education?? OR does it even matter?

  1. I doubt there would be specific foundation years for education, because they're intended to bring you up to the same level that British students who have studied A levels are at - and you don't study education at A level.

If I were you I would look for a foundation course in the subjects you plan to specialise in as a teacher - or, if you plan on teaching younger kids, possibly in the subjects you've not even thought about since leaving school rather than those you've been using in your job.
