  1. In England there is a constitutional monarchy;that means the Queen has some duties, but she must share power with an elected Prime Minister, sort of like a president.

The Queen is married to Prince Philip,Duke of Edinburgh, and her third cousin. He is of royal birth himself;the Queen and Prince share common ancestry through Queen Victoria and Queen Alexandra(of a Danish Royal House). They have 4 children,Charles,Anne,Andrew and Edward.

Of course she has a government;here's a link for you where you'll get all of the information you want, including biographies:

Many people love the monarchy, but there are those who would rather have a republic, even though they had a republic before, didn't like it much, and reinstated the monarchy.

It isn't gloomy all of the time;weather is affected by proximity to the sea  and equator among other things.England's weather is affected by it's geographical location;it is famous for it's fog,and cool days, but has its fair share of sunny, hot days.

  2. You can check the weather regularly to see that it changes just like a lot of the northern hemisphere.

  3. 1 what is a prime minister? do they rule or does the queen?

    A. The first minister who heads the Government . The Queen just signs the passed bills which then become law .

2 does the queen have alot of duties?

    A. Yes - mostly PR style and tapping the occasional shoulder

3 does england have a government?

    if not why then?

    A. No . Strangely enough Scotland , Wales and Northern Ireland do but England seems somewhat lethargic and is governed by a UK parliament  . MPs from other countries accordingly vote on English issues because they havent got round to getting organised .

4 do the ppl like the idea of a queen and king?

    A. Been around a while Not particuarly important in every day life . Causes much interest when one of them misbehaves .

    5 is the queen married?

    A 1947

6 how many and who are her children?

A.At the last count  four - Charlie , Ann , Edward and Andrew

7 is it really always gloomy in england

    and why?

A . No more than in Ireland , Wales or Scotland . Being a wee island in the middle of the sea it rains a lot .

  4. 4. Some people do, some don't. There is always a lot of debate about it.

    7. No it's not always gloomy, but it seems like it is quite often. The weather is very variable, we get sunshine, cold, wind, rain, dull grey days.

The other questions you could find quickly and probably in more detail by searching google or Wikipedia.

  5. To start with she is the Queen of the UK (so thats Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, The Isle of Mann and the Channel islands) as well as the Common wealth (Austrailia, Canada are amounge the biggest countries)

1, The Queen holds the higest power, the people vote for a Prime Minister who represents both the people and the Quees power in Parliment.

The Queen gives the Prime minister the power but she is still the one who has to officialy pass laws.

Its a bit of a hard question because both are very powerfull but in very different ways .

2, The Queen has many duties, as I have said above there is a lot of paperwork involved in running the country as many others. She also carrys out a lot of charity work, if she was steeling tax payers money and just having banquits all day we would have had a revolution long ago.

3, The UK does have a goverment working in a similar way to yours, the difference is that the head of the ruling political party (the Prime Minister) is sworn in by the Queen she keeps them in check and we dont have a president.

4, I think about 80% of the population are in favour of the monarchy.

5, The Queen is married to Prince Philip The Duke of Edinburgh. Philip is from the royal family of Denmark and Greece but chose to give up his royal status when he married the Queen so he was not royalty and has a lower title.

    6, She has Four Children,

The Prince of Wales - Prince Charles

The Princess Royal  - Princess Ann

The Duke of York      - Prince Andrew

The Earl of Wessex   -Prince Edward

7, England is gloomy at times but im sure it is every where at times.

We have very odd rapidly changing weather here and being a small island it is difficult to know if the weather forcast will be correct unlike larger countrys where the weather can be tracked across the country. It is beacuase of the rapidly changing random weather that we can always talk about the weather with such interest in this country.  We are on the same lattitude as New York so I expect the weather is similar.

  6. 1. The Prime Minister is the leader of the political party elected to govern the country. The Queen does not have any political power.

    2. Yes, she carries out hundreds of official engagements every year, she holds official engagements to visiting V.I.P's, and she advises the Prime Minister at weekly meetings.

    3. Yes at the moment a Labour government.

    4. I don't know the figures but I would say the majority of the population approve of the queen.

    5. She is married to Prince Phillip.

    6. Children; Charles, Ann, Andrew and Edward

    7. No it is not always gloomy.
