England Under-19 v South Africa Under-19 - 4th Youth ODI – South Africa Tour Of England - Match Preview
The 4th Youth One-Day International between England U19 and South Africa U19 is scheduled at Arundel Cricket Ground, on July 23, 2011.
The series is still levelled at one a piece, since the 3rd ODI had to be called off after rain washed out the proceedings.
It was http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757, who was in the ascendency before players went off due to showers, which had cancelled many of the on-going matches in England.
The host made a disappointing 198 all out with Ben Foakes top scoring by 48. In reply the visitors were cruising at 86 for 1 in 13 overs before play stopped.
However, it will be a new match with both teams still looking to go ahead and put a strong claim for the series title.
For the English, their middle-order will be a cause of concern, which has yet to fire in the series. Also, their captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-Ball-c41883, will be hoping to get a good knock together as he has not scored a half century in the 3 matches so far.
Moreover, the hosts rely heavily on their opener, Daniel Bell-Drummond, and if he fails to perform, like in the previous match, the whole team tends to get under pressure.
As for their opponents, they came back strongly in the 3rd ODI, only to see the rain spoiling their party. They won’t be looking to make wholesale changes to their line-up, which looks strong.
Opener, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Quinton-de-Kock-c82885 has been firing on all cylinders, playing another brisk 39 ball 48 in the last match to give a quick start to his side.
South African skipper, Keaton Jennings, much like his counterpart, is short of runs. This had him moved down two spots, where Gihahn Cloete, opened the innings instead. He will be hoping to spend some meaningful time on the crease in order to boost his confidence.
The bowling department for the English has been wobbly to say the least. They have been chopping and changing their opening attackers, which is a sign that they are not sure who they think should open the bowling.
However, for the Proteas, the bowlers came back well and performed ably, with the star being their off spinner, Prenelan Subrayen.
Hopefully, both teams will be looking for the sun to welcome them as they meet up in the 4th One Dayer, today, July 23, 2011.
