England Under-19’s v South African Under-19’s - South Africa’s tour of England - 5th ODI - Match Preview
The 5th Youth ODI between England Under-19’s and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 Under-19’s is scheduled to take place tomorrow, July 26, 2011, at the County Cricket Ground, Taunton.
Currently, the Proteas are leading the series by 2-1, where one match has been abandoned due to rain.
The English will be looking to bounce back from the disappointment of their previous outing, where the visitors beat them comprehensively by a whopping margin of 150 runs.
It was a scintillating display from the South Africans in the 4th One Dayer, where they outplayed their opponents in every department.
The star of the show from their side was Gihahn Cloete, scoring a sublime looking 124, batting at the crucial, No. 3 spot. It was the youngsters’ second outing in the series and has already shown the maturity and temperament of an International player.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Quinton-de-Kock-c82885 was again among the run scorers with another half-century to his name. He is leading the score sheet with 223 runs at an impressive average of 55.75.
The only concern for the South African will be the form of Captain Keaton Jennings, who again failed to register much in the proceedings.  In the 4 matches, he has averaged only 11.33 with the bat.
As for their counterparts, serious work has to be put in place regarding the formation of the side. No one could make any contribution of sorts, as the host buckled under the pressure.
Daniel Bell Drummond, who rarely disappoints, was unable to provide a good start to his side in the last match.
Throughout the series, the England middle-order failed to step up and it will be interesting to note the changes for the 5th ODI.
As for the respective bowling departments, the South African contingent put in a stellar performance, with the pick being Corne Dry, who, playing in the first match, bagged figures of 3-17.
Moreover, their spinner, Prenelan Subrayen has been a revelation, claiming another two in the earlier match, taking his tally to 13 wickets in the series so far.
For the English, their bowlers need to come good quickly, and most importantly, collectively. The bowling has been good in patches but they need to fire on all cylinders in order to level the series.
It’s a crucial outing for the England Youth, who will be hoping to learn from their mistakes and offer a better showing.
