England and Wales Cricket Board announces central contracts, Morgan, Tremlett and Bresnan earn maiden contracts – Cricket News Update
The prolific performance of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Eoin-Joseph-Gerard-Morgan-c56032, Chris Tremlett and Tim Bresnan over the past one year was duly rewarded by the England and Wales Cricket Board as all the three players have been awarded their maiden central contracts by ECB for the 2011-12
season.
The England and Wales Cricket Board on Tuesday announced a list of 13 players who have been awarded central contracts for a period of 12 months, starting from October 1, 2011. The contracts will terminate on September 30, 2012.
Whilst Eoin Morgan has been a prolific number six batsman for England since the last English summer, Tremlett and Bresnan rose to Test prominence during the successful Ashes tour of Australia last year.
The trio was earlier committed with the ECB through incremental contracts but now they will be fulltime members of the England and Wales Cricket Board for the next one year.
The ECB national selector, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Geoffrey-Miller-c58870, was pleased to see the trio being promoted from incremental contracts.

"I am delighted that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Miller-c76318 while talking to the media reporters on Tuesday.
"Central contracts are designed to reward players who perform well consistently for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 at home,”
he added further.
The only man who failed to get his contract revised this time around is http://www.senore.com/Cricket/PD-Collingwood-c2173. Miller said that the prolific all-rounder has announced retirement from Test cricket and this automatically rules him out of the central contracts list.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/A-Shahzad-c874, who was part of the Test side that toured Australia last year for the Ashes series, failed to make the cut.
In the meanwhile, ECB is finalising the incremental contracts for 2011-12 season, which will be announced soon.
