England are lions only at home - Wasim Akram
The Legendary Pakistani pacer, Wasim Akram, on Monday questioned the No.1 status of the England cricket team, saying that the English players are ‘http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808 only at home’, adding that they more often than not been poor overseas.
Speaking to media reporters on Monday, the 45-year-old former skipper said that no side can claim to be number the one side in the world without proving itself under different conditions across the globe.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi.  The third match starts this Friday, 3 February.

England overtook http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 is their first series since they claimed the top position. In the four innings so far, their batsmen have not been
able to cope with the spin attack of Pakistan, capitulating against the turning ball. They have not done justice to their status as the No.1 Test team.
A series whitewash at the hands of Pakistan will allow http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 in a three-match Test series, to overtake England as the top Test team.
Akram did say that he does not read much into the rankings.
"The rankings may be of interest to the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 or to the fans but I don't read much into them,” said Wasim Akram.
“If you consistently perform well at home and abroad, then you are good. If not, then there is no use of being No.1 or 2," the left-hander added further.
The third Test of the three-match series between Pakistan and England starts in Dubai on February 3, 2012. England will be playing for pride as they have already lost the series.
