England batsman Tim Bresnan fined after match against India - ICC World Cup 2011 update
The English batsman, Tim Bresnan, has been warned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for breaching its Code of Conduct during the ICC World Cup match against India, on 27th February 2011, at the M.Chinnaswamy stadium of Bangalore.All-rounder
Bresnan was found guilty to the level One offence, after he violated the code relating to "abuse of cricket equipment of clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings". Bresnan hit the stumps with his bat in anger, when he was ruled out by Indian bowler

apologised to the umpire and told them that he did not do it deliberately. It was all unintentional, for which he is embarrassed.
The umpire further added that there is no exemption to the breaching of such offenses because the players are role-models for millions of people. They should play cricket with true spirit and devotion. He said that penalty for such violations can range from
a warning to a fine of up to 50 per cent of a player match payroll.
