http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ghana-c2905 on Tuesday, 29 March, 2011.
The match, which is scheduled to take place at the Wembley, is the first-ever encounter between Ghana and the Three Lions.
Capello said that he would ring some changes for the Ghana clash and he did so by including http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wales-c3041 that
allowed Aston Villa’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stewart-Downing-c34221 to feature in the starting line-up.
The defence would include the likes of Everton’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Barry-c14423 would be leading the English side out against their African opponents.
Capello mentioned that only four players who were part of England’s victory over Wales would make into the starting eleven. Among those players were Manchester City’s goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Wilshere-c17463 and Aston Villa’s
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ashley-Young-c6813. Young would have the support of his Villa teammate Downing and both are expected to change flanks on a more regular basis during the game.
England manager and the fans would be hoping that these instant changes would not hamper the Three Lions’ momentum and they keep on roaring.
The match holds high intensity especially since Andy Carroll would be making just his second appearance in England colours. This will be the striker’s first appearance after landing at Anfield for a massive 35 million Pounds. The tall striker has been the
centre of attraction for quite some time now after his transfer from Newcastle. Carroll was an inspirational figure at St. James Park during his stay there. He played 91 matches for the Toons and scored 33 goals during that time.
