After failing to comply with the deadline, he was omitted from the 15-man group, with Jonny Bairstow named as his replacement. The third and final Test is scheduled to start from August 16th.

The Proteas are currently leading the series 1-0, and a favourable result would see them leapfrog England as the no.1 Test team in the world. The  touring contingent have certainly been the better side following the conclusion of the opening two matches
and the team’s premier pacer wants to keep playing attacking cricket.
“We've come out here to play good, attacking positive cricket. It's the way we want to play and we are definitely going for it at Lord's. It just shows Test cricket is definitely alive and that this current South African team is trying to push for it."
