England batsman, Jonathan Trott has said that England doesn’t want to give any sniff to the Australian side in the on-going Ashes series.
The first Ashes Test was filled with number of memorable performances and every day cricket lovers witnessed some interesting turns. The first day belonged to Peter Siddle, who managed his first hat-trick in Test cricket. The second and third day belonged
to Michael Hussey, as he scored a wonderful 195 for Australia. The last two days had the names of English batsmen written all over it, as their top three batsmen scored impressive centuries and took the advantage away from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746. Jonathan Trott was one
of the centurions for England and played one impressive knock. Trott’s ability to bat effectively has added more variety in English batting line up in recent times.
Trott along with Cook added a record-breaking 329 runs for the 2nd wicket and dominated the Aussie bowlers. Bowling has always played a major role during the Ashes series and any side that has lethal bowlers can topple the opposition on any day.
Australia bowled exceptionally well in the first innings but in the second innings they were punished and their bowlers gave away easy runs.
Mitchell Johnson was the major disappointment for the Aussies, as he was unable to take a single wicket in the Test match and was also expensive in his spells. Jonathan Trott realises the importance of dictating the terms to the bowlers, and any bowler who
can trouble the batsmen can create a psychological impact on the batsman for the rest of the series.
Trott said that before the start of the Ashes series he felt that he was in a good nick, but he was also of the view that he was not able to convert his scores into big ones. He further said that he is quite pleased to contribute to an excellent fight back.
He added that he is pretty fortunate to do well against Australia. Trott had a wonderful start to his Test career and managed to score a vital hundred in the Final Ashes Test at the Oval in 2009, his second against the Aussies.
