Joe Henderson, the third name in the history of polo, who obtained highest 10-goal handicaps after the match, said that the English players contested the game quite slowly as they used to play the game under different rules in their respective country.
He further stated that it was a great contest between two high-goal handicap teams which enthralled the audience a lot. Overall, it was a rock-hard performance from the US Polo Team, he maintained.
Henderson maintained that Biddle displayed a wonderful game, made the victory possible for US Polo Team, and he definitely deserved the MVP award of the event.
Shane Rice, the player of US Polo Team, was of the view that he himself wanted to make an impressive show against the neighbouring team.
Billy Sheldon, the alternate player and coach of the US Polo Team, explained his prior to the match thoughts stating that he was considering such a bombastic performance from John Gobin. They decided not to disturb him at all in the game, as he was consistently
scoring goals, he added.
MVP of the tournament, Tommy Biddle, speaking to the media persons after the match was of the view that they had not known about the expectations from the historic event. He further stated that they held a practise session with the visitors two days back
but they only attempted to familiar with the ponies. However, the English team was learning the rules of US Arena Polo.
