England is in a "do or die" situation and has to win the next one day against Australia.
English team didn’t come out of the celebration of Ashes victory after 24 years on the land of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 and loosing back to back games in a row. It forced their coach Andy Flower to give an explanatory statement. He said that it’s not true that England
is taking one day series lightly. He said they are fully prepared to fight the battle. He further added that they are not only focusing on the preparations for the upcoming mega event that will be played in Sub-Continent from 19 February but trying to play
some good cricket.
Andy said exactly what a coach should rightly say. However, the English team is in the 'do and die' situation after loosing the first three matches off seven match series against Australia. England is surrounded with injuries and will have to win all the
remaining games to insure a series victory. It’s a perception that they relaxed themselves after the historic victory in Ashes but news and analysis gives another aspect. Their main spinner Graeme Swann has already left the team because of injury along with
Tim Bresnon who was suffering from calf injury. Kevin Pieteren has also missed the last ODI and rested. But the good news is that pace bowler James Anderson the main hero of Ashes has come back into the team along with Pietersen. These developments should
give some boost to the English camp.
On the other hand Australia skipper Michael http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Clarke-c51120 is happy with his team's performance but seems a bit concerned about his personal form. He could only manage to score 55 runs. Meanwhile the Australian camp also looks affected because of some injury cases.
Fast bowler Mitchell Johnson and Shaun Tait have also missed out the last one day because of injury and they will have to pass a fitness test before the fourth one day international. Tait was ruled out of the match because of thigh injury. He was expected
to be available for the fourth ODI. Australia'z performance is getting higher and that will help them to defend their title in the Showpiece event.
The fourth one day international between Australia and England will be played on the 26th January 2011 at Adelaide. Both the teams are hopeful about their victory and want to play positive cricket. Australian skipper said in his statement that “Australia
were able to record victories in the opening three matches despite not playing at their best was indicative of his side's strength in the one-day format”. On the other hand English Coach said that "We had a poor start to the one-day series, we intend to finish
strongly. We're here to win these games,".
English Team is already in pressure because of back to back defeats but they will definitely try their best to make a good comeback in these series. There will be good cricket to watch for the supporters of both the nations. It will be a good test for both
the teams as they will get to prepare themselves for the mega event that will start from 19 February 2011.
