England name Ashley Giles as the new ODI coach – Cricket News Update
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) made a shocking announcement on Wednesday, revealing a big change in the ODI setup where instead of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Andrew-Flower-c44362, England’s former spinner Ashley Giles would be the new head coach of the national squad.
However, it was clarified by the cricket board that Flower would remain the team director. It is believed that the ECB’s decision has come in order to reduce the workload on Flower, who has been serving England for the past five-and-a-half-years.
Under Flower, England have tasted sweet victories in home and away Ashes series, however, the ODI record is not as good as it should have been. Still, under the Zimbabwean, the Poms bettered their performances in the 50-over format.
