The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Friday announced its 16-member Test squad for the upcoming three-match Test series against Pakistan, starting in Dubai on January 17, 2012.

National selector http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Geoffrey-Miller-c58870 said that they have picked up a strong combination and reckoned the inclusion of the trio would add strength to the squad.
"We believe we've selected a very strong squad with a number of key players looking to return from injury including the likes of Stuart Broad, Eoin Morgan and Chris Tremlett," said http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Miller-c76318.
This would be England’s first Test series since clinching the world number one Test status from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 down under in January, earlier this year.
Geoff Miller, the ECB selector is expecting a stern challenge against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 on the same UAE venues last month.
"This is an important series given it is our first Test series since hosting India in August this year and we expect a stern challenge against a Pakistan side that will be accustomed to playing in the UAE," said Miller while talking to the media reporters
after announcing the Test squad for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 series.
England are scheduled to play three Tests against Pakistan during the home series of latter, which PCB is forced to host at the neutral venues of UAE to the security issues prevailing in the country.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AJ-Strauss-c964 and his men are also scheduled to play two warm up games ahead of the opening Test. The team for the three-day warm up matches is yet to be decided.
