England retains the Urn
After a very exciting display of Test cricket during the first three days of the fourth ashes Test, day four was just a formality for England. England required only three wickets to retain the urn. Day four of the fourth Test lasted
for only ninety minutes and England defeated Australia with one of their biggest margins.

lost two matches by an innings defeat in a home series. This is the first time in 24 years that England has retained the ashes urn in Australia. A feat the whole English team is proud of. England is now leading the series 2-1 after four games and the last
Test match promises to be an exciting one. England requires a draw to win the series and win an Ashes series in Australia after a gap of almost 25 years. On the other hand Australia has to win the match to level the series and not loose the series. Never before,
in many years, England were in a position to clinch the Ashes in Australia. The bowlers are in supreme form and the batting is strong. The English side has a batting average of an amazing 45.47 in the series and the Australians have a batting average of 28.40.
Day four started with 169/6 and England needed only three wickets for a victory, as Ryan Harris was out due to injury. It was only a matter of time before the English bowlers wrapped the game. One interesting thing was that the Australian
fans turned out in high numbers despite of knowing the obvious result. Australia tried to fight and Brad Haddin batted really well. Brad Haddin was fluent and his choices of shots were also brilliant. Brad Haddin also took on the English spin wizard, Graeme
Swann and hit him for a massive six. Brad Haddin kept scoring at his end but the other end fell and at the end of play, Brad Haddin was not out on 55 runs. All the English bowlers bowled well and Tim Bresnan was the pick of the bowlers. Tim Bresnan’s spell
on day three brought down the Australian side to their knees and today he took the last wicket of Ben Hilfenhaus. Tim Bresnan finished with the figures of 4 for 50 runs. Tim Bresnan, James Anderson and Chris Tremlett took five wickets in total. The pick of
the batsmen for England were Jonathan Trott, Alastair Cook and Matt Prior.
Celebrations began for England as the crowed cheered to the top of their voices. The sprinkler dance by the whole English side was a delight for the people in the ground and millions of people watching the game at home. The celebrations
lasted for a long time as the spectators and the English team refused to end the much deserved celebrations. Ricky Ponting, the Australian skipper who has been unable to perform well in the Ashes series, is suffering from a broken finger. Ricky Ponting still
