England skipper Andrew Strauss frustrated after drawing the 2nd Test match against Sri Lanka at Lord’s
England’s skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AJ-Strauss-c964, was disappointed after his side drew the Test match against Sri Lanka at Lords, on June 7, 2011.
The English team routed the Lankans in the first match, played at Cardiff, but could not repeat their performance this time around. Strauss was forced to accept a draw on the final day of the match with 15 overs still left.
The left-hand batsman conceded that a draw is never welcomed by any side, since all the efforts go to waste.
“We scored at more than four an over, but I think it was always going to be a little bit hard to force a result on the final day here as Lord's wicket doesn't deteriorate. It is always frustrating when a Test ends in a draw because you have put in a lot
of hard work for five days and neither side gets anything out of it,” shared Strauss.
Admitting the fact that he took a little too http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Alastair-Nathan-Cook-c42852 to complete his century.
Strauss also felt that his bowling attack was below par in the match. However, he backed his bowlers by saying that they are humans after all and things like this are bound to happen.
“They all bowled well in spells, and they all bowled inconsistently in spells. The guys are not machines, sometimes the rhythm is not there and it is hard work. We're not going to play the perfect Test match every time but the most important thing is that
we don't make the same mistakes twice,” said Strauss.

Lankans will be giving their all in order to secure a win. However, their chances of leveling the series are slim as their skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Tillakaratne-Mudiyanselage-Dilshan-c93947, has fractured his thumb and will be missing the final Test.
The English bowling attack on the other hand, will be reinforced, as their strike bowler http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rose-c86842 Bowl.
